On Tuesday 15th July 2014, the principals of ADCC East Africa made a courtesy call to the School’s Dean and CURI Director, with the view of partnering with the university so as to build the capacity of the students and members of the faculty in software competence and understanding. Similar programs are already ongoing in other universities in Kenya such as the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

ADCC followed up their meeting with a presentation on Wednesday 16th August 2014 to the greater ADD community, both faculty and students. The team showcased some marvelous works that various Autodesk software are capable of producing. This evoked imaginations and challenged those who attended the session as it set the bar of standards of achievement to much greater heights. The built environment has evolved from hand drawn plans and maps sketches and maps to the digital era of computer aided designs.

The school and ADCC identified the need for training information technology. It was resolved that concentration meetings would be held in order to facilitate the launch of training programs so as to enrich the school’s technical know how’s and set it steps ahead to global standards.
